A large part of my practice involves free improvisation using a custom software instrument I created in SuperCollider. This instrument can generate a wide variety of synthesized sounds, and process input from analog electronic instruments and acoustic instruments. I often perform alongside instrumentalists, other electronic musicians, and as a solo performer. The instrument is designed to be as flexible as possible, allowing me to conjure any soundworld I can imagine on-the-fly, and to adapt to any improvisational scenario.
